AP govt to provide 50% subsidy under NRTS Insurance Scheme

AP NRTS Insurance Scheme:- As the Andhra Pradesh government, lead by the Chief Minister, offers a fantastic chance for migrant workers, employees, and students from Andhra Pradesh living overseas.  The Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugu Society, a division of the AP Government, is providing the Pravasandhra Bharosa Bima Insurance Policy with a 50% premium subsidy from Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. NRTs are urged to take advantage of this chance as they can now enlist in the PBB plan at discounted rates from December 26, 2023, to January 15, 2024, according to announcements made by Venkat S. AP NRTS Insurance Scheme a government program to bring the Telugu Diaspora together globally and give them access to a single platform that will serve as a one-stop shop for connecting with their homeland in mutually beneficial ways. Non-resident Telugus, with their own distinct needs and capacities, are an essential and natural extension of the Telugu community. The insurance policy Pravasandhra Bharosa Bima (PBB) represents one such welfare programme for NRTs and their family members.

He clarified that NRT students could enlist for free with coverage for a year, while employees, migrants, workers, drivers, housemaids, assistants, and others employed in a variety of fields may enrol for just Rs 275 with coverage for three years. He went on to say that, in light of the security of NRTs and their families, the Andhra Pradesh government would pay 100% of the student premium (formerly Rs 180 for a year) and 50% of the employee PBB premium (previously Rs 550 for three years).

  • The Pravasandhra Bharosa Bima (PBB) insurance policy is providing a 50% premium discount by the State government in order to assist non-resident Telugus (NRTs), such as migrant labourers, employees, and students who are studying overseas.
  • The initiative’s goal is to give NRTs and their families support and financial stability.
  • Medical costs for illnesses or injuries up to Rs 1 lakh, maternity costs up to Rs 50,000 for female employees, and financial support up to Rs 10 lakh in the event of an unintentional death or permanent disability will all be paid for.
