- Implemented at an estimated cost of ₹ 4,000 crore, the ‘Mukhya Mantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan’ will provide each SHG worker with ₹ 10,000 in the first year, ₹ 12,500 from the Government.
- An additional ₹ 12,500 as a bank loan (total 25,000) will be provided over the next two years.
- To receive the money, the beneficiaries must submit a business plan.
- Additionally, the welfare programme will be a component of Assam’s population control initiatives.
- All the welfare schemes will be linked to population control measures for the benefit of mothers and sisters.
Eligibility Criteria of Mukhya Mantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan
The women need to meet three requirements before they can avail of the programme.
- Beneficiaries in the scheduled castes and scheduled tribes should not have more than four children. While those in the general and OBC categories should not have more than three children.
- The girl child’s SHG member must enrol her in school, and if she is too young, she must sign a pledge to do so.
- The third requirement is that recipients of the Amrit Brikshya Andolan must have trees that are still standing.
Implementation Process for Lakhpati Baideo Scheme
Beneficiaries must submit a thorough business plan endorsed by the government to be eligible for the grant. The government has underlined the benefits of the scheme, which include an initial payment of Rs 10,000 to each qualified member in the first year of the initiative. After that, beneficiaries will receive Rs 25,000 over the following two years, with Rs 12,500 coming from the government and the remaining amount coming from a bank.
