Telangana Gig Workers Insurance Scheme 2024
The new Chief Minister of Telangana state Mr. Revanth Reddy has launched Telangana Gig Workers Insurance Scheme. This scheme was announced on 23rd December 2023. Under this scheme, the government will provide an accidental insurance of Rs. 5 Lakh. This insurance will be provided to all the gig workers like cab drivers, auto-rickshaw drivers, and food delivery boys. Zomato &Swiggy delivery boys will also be covered under this scheme. The insurance amount will be directly sent to the bank account of the beneficiaries. According to the notification, a mobile app for this scheme will also be developed.
