YSR Housing Scheme Objective
As we all know there are many economically weaker section people who due to their weak financial condition are not able to purchase houses to live in. And they face many problems due to this situation. By keeping this in mind, the Government of Andhra Pradesh has launched a new scheme known as YSR Housing Scheme. Under this scheme, the pucca houses will be distributed among the poor people of the state who are not able to afford the houses. The main objective of launching this scheme is to distribute the houses amongst all the people who do not have their own houses to live on by 2022.

YSR Housing Scheme Achievement Highlights
The achievement highlights of this scheme are as follows:-
- The government of Andhra Pradesh has provided employment opportunities to unemployed people. There are 30 kinds of craftsmen who can get employment opportunities provided for themselves.
- Rs. 34,000 has been allocated by the government for setting up the infrastructure of the YSR Housing Scheme. With the help of this infrastructure, there are about 1.2 crores of citizens who have been able to get benefits.
- According to the progress report, 39% of good and positive results or outputs have been yielded by the government while working on the construction of houses.
- Out of Rs. 1200 crores which were allocated by the government in the form of a budget for the construction work, the debt of Rs. 3200 crores have been reimbursed by the government.

YSR Housing Scheme Expenditure Of Infrastructure
Soon the Government of Andhra Pradesh will start to construct or build the infrastructure such as roads, electricity lighting, drinking water and drainage system throughout the state. For building these infrastructure around Rs. 34,000 will be spent by the government. After this, around 1.2 crores of citizens will be able to get benefits under this scheme.
YSR Housing Scheme Progress Report
It will be surprising for you to know that the progress report of YSR Housing Scheme has been generated with the 39% of good and positive results that many houses have been constructed throughout the state. Government has constructed about 17,000 of houses at free-of-cost-cost. Soon the government is going to extend the last date to apply under this scheme.
TIDCO Collation
Government of Andhra Pradesh has a debt of Rs. 3200 crores out of which only Rs. 1200 crores of the debt has been cleared or paid by the government. Government will soon also clear the left out debt. Sale agreement has been generated in order to sell around 2.60 lakhs of TIDCO houses. There are around 2,62,216 houses which are under construction work.
YSR Housing Scheme Implementation Procedure
For providing proper shelter or residence facilities to the poor and middle income communities, the government has started implementing the scheme process. Beginning for the Construction Of 15.6 Lakhs Houses
The Chief Minister YSR Jagan Mohan Reddy has created YSR Housing Scheme in order to provide houses to the poor people of the state. With the help of this scheme, the poor citizens will be able to live in their own houses without worrying about any financial condition. The government has created this scheme with the target to provide houses to all eligible citizens by 2023. Until now 15.6 lakh houses will be built under the first phase of this scheme. For the construction of these houses, the government has spent Rs. 28084 crores.
30 Craftsmen Categories Will Get Employment
The Government of Andhra Pradesh has announced that the building of the housing colonies will provide employment to around 30 categories of craftsmen like carpenters, masons, painters, plumbers, etc. The government will also hire a new joint collector in each district to monitor the implementation of the YSR Housing Scheme. Around 15.6 lakh houses will complete the construction by June 2022 in around 175 assembly constituencies.
- Another 12.70 lakh houses will be built in the second phase by 2022.
- The government will spend Rs. 22860 crores on the construction of the rest houses.
Government Will Spend Rs. 34000 On Infrastructure
The Government of Andhra Pradesh is going to spend Rs. 34,000 on the construction of housing colonies that includes roads, electricity lighting, drinking water, drainage, etc. Until now the government has distributed 3100000 housing sites to the poor people of the state. The families in the state will benefit from the YSR Housing Scheme. Around four new districts with New Housing colonies will be created through the scheme by the Chief Minister. Approximately 1.2 crore people will get benefits and around 31 lakh families will get residence under this scheme.
YSR Housing Scheme Distribution Of Houses
YSR Housing Schemes is working in phases, the first phase of this scheme has been completed and the construction of the houses under the second phase has initiated on 25 December 2020. Each phase of this scheme will end up with the distribution of the various houses among the people of the state. The distribution of the houses under the two phases are given below
- Under the first phase, the government has distributed around 68.361 acres of land. The value of these lands is approximately Rs. 23,535 crores. 16 lakhs houses were built under the first phase with the cost of Rs. 1.8 lakhs
- The construction under the second phase of YSR Housing Scheme has been started from 25th December 2020 and it is expected to build around 28.30 lakh houses in three years.
- The government will distribute 30,75,755 houses to the women beneficiaries in the second phase.
YSR Housing Scheme Disclosed Of Layout
The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh Respected YSR Jagan Mohan Reddy has disclosed the layout of the Gunkalam Colony. The Chief Minister said ‘it is the largest house site layout under YSR Housing Scheme’ which is having 397 acres of area and 12301 plots. It is also said by the Chief Minister that the layout of the Gunkalam Colony will become the Nagar Panchayat after the completion of construction work. Under Gunkalam Colony all the basic amenities will be available such as roads, drinking water, educational facilities, hospitals, park, Police stations, electricity, RBKs, banks health clinics, etc.
- Currently, the market value of the plot under the Gunkalam area is Rs. 3 lakh and after the construction will be completed the market price will increase to Rs. 6 to 7 lakhs
- The houses under Gunkalam area will be distributed free of cost among the beneficiaries.
- Around 28.30 lac houses will be constructed under the second phase
- The construction of 2.62 lakh TIDCO will be done under this phase. The remaining 12.70 under the second phase will be built in the next year.
YSR Housing Scheme Basic Amenities
After reviewing the mega Housing program at his camp office at Tadepalli, the chief minister has instructed the officers to resemble the YSR Jagananna Colonies with model colonies so that they would not look like slums. And for that, the basic amenities will be provided under colonies which includes underground drainage and library facilities also.
- The material for construction like cement and steel at the subsidized rate will be provided by the officials.
- The officials are also preparing the action plans for the release of funds in a timely manner.
- 15 lakh houses were also constructed under the first phase of the YSR Housing Scheme with the timely plan

YSR Colonies With Sanitation & Library Facilities
The government has instructed the officials to keep an eye on every layout and to ensure that each and every colony will be built in a beautiful way with a pleasant environment. These colonies will be built with the facilities that are mentioned below
- The colonies will be built with underground drainage.
- The construction of roads will also take place under these colonies
- Anganwadi will be available under YSR Colonies
- The officials will also order the libraries to construct 1500 to 5000 households.

YSR Housing Scheme Progress Report
The Chief Minister YSR Jagan Mohan Reddy has launched a YSR Housing Scheme in order to distribute free-of-cost housing to the poor. The chief minister has ordered the officials to extend the distribution till January 2021 and around the distribution of 9668 houses which means 39% part of this scheme has been completed. Around 17,000 houses have been completed and the rest will be completed soon

YSR Housing Scheme & Collation Of TIDCO
TIDCO scheme was launched by the previous government which has left a debt of Rs. 3200 crores. Out of which, the current government has cleared the debt Of Rs. 1200 and it is expected to clear the rest of the debt also. Under this scheme, 2,62,216 houses are under construction out of which 1,43,600 houses are with an area of 300 square feet, 44,300 houses are with an area of 365 square feet and 74,300 houses are with an area of 430 square feet.

The inauguration of a model house at Komaragiri village will be soon done by the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. The houses which are going to be distributed under this village will be energy efficient because they are built-in support of the BEE and SWISS under the assistance of APSECM. The houses which are present under the YSR Housing Scheme will be innovative indo-swiss energy efficient and thermally comfortable Technology building design

The budget of the YSR Housing Scheme has been finalized by the finance minister be Rajendra Nath Reddy on 16th June 2020 for the years 2020 and 21. The allocation of the funds was made for the 21 welfare schemes which are running in the name of late YS Rajashekar Reddy to provide financial help to the poor and needy people of the state

Jagananna Smart Town Scheme has been implemented by the government of Andhra Pradesh to provide the house’s space to the middle class and low-income communities. YSR Jagananna Colonies Scheme
The cabinet committee on economic affairs has launched YSR Jagananna Colonies Scheme on 8th July 2020. The government will distribute the land to the selected beneficiaries along with the document of construction under this scheme. The officials have instructed banks to provide financial support to the beneficiaries. Approximately 60,000 beneficiaries are identified under this scheme out of which only 10000 applications are being considered
YSR Jagananna Colonies Plot Information
The work under the scheme has been done by the Kadapa district administration at Pulivendula Town in about 255 acres of area. Around 1 to 1.5 cents of the land will be allocated along with the documents to the beneficiaries by the government. Under this scheme, the authorities have created 754 layouts with 95,549 plots. And the rest will be covered under community purposes like parks and roads.
AP Farmers Scheme
YSR Jagananna Colonies Facilities Available
The facilities will be provided to the beneficiaries under YSR Jagananna Colonies such as roads, electricity, drinking water. Along with that, the infrastructure facilities will also be present like school, Anganwadi, Parks, Village/ Ward Secretariat, Village Clinics, etc. These colonies will be surrounded by pleasant environments. The roads leading to these colonies will have proper street light facilities
- The chief minister has directed the official to build the colonies with the definite pattern that is having underground drainage facilities
- The officials are asked to take suggestion from the beneficiaries before 20 January 2021
- The work of repairing the road will be finalized with an estimated cost of Rs. 560 crore
- Half an acre of land will be required near Rythu Bharosa Kendra for the facilities like warehousing cold storage collection centers
- The identification of such line will be completed by 31st January 2021
- 5% of the land will be required for Janata Bazar.
YSR Housing Scheme House Model
The Government of Andhra Pradesh in collaboration with the Housing Corporation has launched a new scheme known as the YSR Housing Scheme to provide 30 lakh houses to poor and needy families of the state. YSR Pedalandariki Illu Housing Scheme
The Government of Andhra Pradesh has launched YSR Pedalandariki Illu Housing Scheme on 25 December 2020. Under this scheme, the free-of-cost houses will be provided to the beneficiary. Around 30.6 lakh beneficiaries are identified under this scheme across the state.

YSR Pedalandariki Illu Housing Scheme Flat Distribution
There are two phases of this scheme. Under the first phase of the YSR Pedalandariki Illu Housing Scheme, the construction of the houses begin on 25 December 2020 and will continue till June 2022. The construction under the second phase will start after the construction of the first phase and it will carry on till June 2023. Around 15.1 houses will be constructed under the first phase of this scheme. The expenditure which has occurred for the single house will be Rs. 1.80 lakhs.

The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh on 12th July 2019 has launched AP YSR EWS Housing Scheme to provide houses to the economically weaker section of people who do not have enough funds to buy their own house.
